Why did Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh begin to suck in the 10s after delivering their best series to date?
Both IP's went to shit after Zexal and first season of Arc-V and XY&Z.
Sun and Moon is fucking garbage and no payed shill will tell me otherwise. Arc-V almost killed the franchise and Vrains sucked ass. The current shit like Journeys and Sevens are mediocre and just shit kodomo anime, like anyone involved in them gave up and they don't even resemble the IP other than in name anymore.
I did a rewatch 2 years ago of the indigo league and orange islands and realized that pokemon was never good. Never seen xyz but if it's even close to the quality of diamond & pearl (the last series I watched) then it is absolutely shit.

>Why did Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh begin to suck Am I talking to someone born in 2000? At what point was just about anyone except for literal eight year olds under the illusion that these were good series?
Eli Walker
5D's was KINO, you can't deny that. DP was hella fun too.
Jaxson Walker
XYZ is garbage, the last pokemon Season was DP
Ian Jones
*The last good pokemon season was DP
Henry Williams
SHITrena is shit character.
Adrian Rogers
XYZ was amazing. they did a solid romance story and Clemont was awesome together with Bonnie who was the cutest thing ever. Amazing animation and Ash at his most competent.
SM should have been a spinoff, it betrayed the premise of the entire franchise.
Gavin Gomez
>they did a solid romance story Kek, hell no there's was nothing good in that shit of a subplot, it was handled terribly and had trash characters, Ash was the worst he's even been as a character, and the overall writing of everything was horrible, prioritizing style over substance is never a good thing
Ash's development makes sense in series. He was resolved to finally win a league after the abysmal fail in BW, which saw him at his lowest point after his crushing failure in DP... SM just threw all of his story arcs leading up to that point for slice of life shit, and they gave him some pity win in a shitty league knockoff on a crap island nobody gave a fuck about. XYZ's end saw Ash getting to second place in a legue, the closest he ever had been up to that point and if the writers did not fuck up SM we would have gotten a satisfying conclusion in that season and end to Ash's journey. SM literally assassinated the franchise.
Christopher Reyes
>best written >did nothing besides shitty watered down contests only to change her goal in the last ep >zero plot relevance >ugly haircut
Dylan Flores
>le contrarian thread
Nathan Scott
>She was the best written and cutest, pokegirl we ever had. >Probably one of the worst main characters in the anime >The worst relationship with Ash even though she has a crush on him Yeah, no.
Brayden Jenkins
The only problem with SM was Ash suddely attending school, should have done that before trying to win a league.
Ryder Reyes
At the end Serena gets a goal in life, Ash had a major influence on her and after witnessing him through the show se realized she wanted to follow in his footsteps, to grow into someone she could respect herself, that is the meaning at the end where she tells him that he will like the new her when they meet again. She cut her hair which symbolized her character growth.
John Bailey
>Probably has to do with salty shipfags. literally this
Jace Jones
When I was watching diamond and pearl when it was airing when I was 10 years years old, even I thought back then that I was too old to be watching that shit
Ethan Jones
Pokemon Sun and Moon is the perfect amalgamation of what the Pokemon anime shouldn't be.
Beginning right off the bat with the glaring concept of a Pokemon School which completely goes against Ash's character and personality. A school about teaching kids about Pokemon, housing a kid who's already traveled 6 regions, 2 archipelagos, competed in 7 Pokemon League Championships, and conquered the Battle Frontier that only the most elite of trainers can achieve, even being offered a position as a Frontier Brain. He is incredibly knowledgeable about type matchups, special traits and characteristics about Pokemon, and qualities of being a good Pokemon Trainer. Not to mention he's already attended two Pokemon Summer Camps and other Pokemon Schools in the past and excelled. There is literally no reason at all why someone like Ash should even be touching the grounds of the school unless he's there to visit. Not to mention that going to the school requires him to be stationary, something Ash has never been a fan of, and instead of moving on to the next big thing or traveling to discover new people and Pokemon, he spends his time at Kukui's house. Or even worse, the classmates.
Oliver Hall
>The worst relationship with Ash Oh yes, May
Ryder Cox
>At the end she gets a goal kek so just as I said. Terribly written. And not once we got to see her doing that goal because she's missing ever since.
