I tried watching Saint Seiya the other day

i tried watching the first episode and its nothing more than a fist of the north star knock off for 10 year olds to sell toys and action figures

why did euro and south americans eat up this garbage back in the day?

>a fist of the north star knock off for 10 year olds
Hokuto No Ken was already for 10 years old, they were published in the same magazine

South Americans and other subhumans still lap up generic shounenshit to this day. Just look at the recent spam of One Piece threads.

Even North Americans must be subhumans because the most sold manga in the USA are all shounen

>North Americans
You mean African american people.

I started it recently too, it's pretty good, first couple of episodes drag a bit but once you feel the brotherhood of orphans you feel it not to mention the 10/10 ost

Hokuto no Ken is a Violence Jack knockoff for 10 year olds.

Saint Seiya was for Yuropoors and spics what DBZ was for Ameriburgers. /thread

>nothing more than a fist of the north star knock off
Explain.

the reason why the bronzes are able to defeat the most powerful subjects of their time is, not only because they have more will to fight than the latter, the main reason for the defeat of the golden order is that they lack experience of combat.

>mu

zero

>aldebaran

zero

>saga

he has assassinated the patriarch, just that

>death mask

one of the most experienced, the decoration of his temple is proof of it, that's why he is defeated by the most powerful bonce

>aioria

zero

his first kill is casios he is a scaredy cat unable to climb stairs

>shake

zero

libra

he is an ally and the most experienced

>aioros

dead

>shura

one with combat experience murderer of aioros defeated by the most powerful bronze

>camus

>aphrodite

another of the experiments

defeated by the power of the script

>for 10 year olds to sell toys and action figures
>why did euro and south americans eat up this garbage back in the day?
because they were all 10 year olds. It is still big nowadays in those countries but because those fans from nearly 30 years ago are die-hard fans, not because it keeps making new fans.

>the main reason for the defeat of the golden order is that they lack experience of combat.
I've never seen this headcanon before. That's a new one.

Saint Seiya will always be more profitable in money than Hokuto no Ken. Cry more.

Latin Americans are obsessed with MHA and DBZ too

Funny people say that and have no problem with Dragon Ball clone #575000

Camus lost.

Camus lost.

Italian here. The series there was the anime cult before the rise of DBZ. But as we got an adaptation that basically changed the entire story and atmosphere of the original plot, you can even Say we Italians watched an entirely different anime.
I tried watching Saint Seiya without the italian adaptation and its generico shounenshit garbage. Only saving graces are the soundtrack and the cool Gold Saint armors

What did they change?

They mistook the series for a nipponic "tribute" to classical heroic poems (Illyiad, Aeneid, ect.) But the dubbers were disappointed with the barebone generic lines uttered by the characters

As back in the 90s here nobody cared about purism shit, they starter made up new "high" lines for the characters, like they were fucking Hector and Achilles, using herudites archaic words, a classical tone, and even rymes sometimes.

As a dumb kid i barely was able to understood what the fuck they were saying. But It sounded badass and so everyone loves it

Without the "classical adaptation" as It was later called by italian fans, the series here would had 1/5 of the success It actually had

Cont.
Basically, It would be like an english adaptation of Saint Seiya entirely based on Shakespeare-esque lines (to give you a better idea)
