When discussing males the term is He Man, based on the 80's cartoon of the same name. The thing is, most male action heroes are He Man's of some type unless they make a point of putting the male nerd or other wimp in the protagonist spot. You know why mentally healthy people like He Man's and hate Mary Sue's? Because He Man's help out the village while Mary Sue's chase and help out only He Man's, IRL. It's the same principle behind the double standard on promiscuity. A man who sleeps around is likely to be able to provide resources for anyone he helps. A woman who sleeps around is likely to bring back many dangerous men to her family. These facts are painful but you must learn them to understand life.

No. Like one user said he lost to Shin, he lost to Souther, and the entire point of the second half was he could not beat Raoh unless he truly embraced his inheritance of Hokuto Shin Ken and had gone through his journey.
Plus he didn't just walk into town and solve all it's problems. Sure he killed the immediate bandit problem, but he didn't resurrect the dead, he didn't tap his palm to the ground and make life spring back up again. Sure maybe sometimes he'd do something else here and there but it was mostly just exploding the bandits who already did damage. He applied a band aid and left unable to do more. Where as a Stu/Sue would have walked in and solved every problem.

I hate the fact that in the original manga was just a kid who had untapped potential because he was too soft, but after losing his gf he manned up and became a badass.
Then in the sequel it's revealed he's actually part of a secret Hokuto bloodline and that's why he's so awesome.

mary sue shows up on the starship enterprise, out-combats a klingon, out-logics a vulcan, out-stategies the captain, out-navigates the navigator, out-doctors the doctor, makes everyone fall in love with her including the villains and makes every single aspect of the setting relate back to her in some way while doing utterly heinous things to the characters the author hates and is readily forgiven for it because "they had it coming" or were secretly evil all along.
and the male version is called a gary stu and does all the same things
