Madoka looks absolutely depressed in 80% of the shots, and even the ones with determination in her expression feel forced. I'd say it's perfect as it is.

I (try to) do this once a year since I first watched it in 2015. Christmas season that year was one of the best times of my life and I watched Madoka then and it still brings back a lot of those same feelings so Madoka has actually managed become a comfy Christmas tradition for me. I've been getting lazier in the past couple of years though and just do the movies (or just Rebellion specifically)
