Mods, like a lot of the userbase here, still likes to pretend it's 2011 and they're an epic secret club. Threads about Mangadex fuckups, for example, get nuked but you can have half the fucking catalog be One Piece, Dragon Ball and WSJ battle shonen spam and they don't give a shit.

There also seem to be a lot of people who have made it their duty to be negative about every series ever. So when a series gets an anime these people try as hard as they can to derail any threads about the series by constantly shitting on it and calling anyone not shitting on it a shill or brainwashed or whatever other retarded term they use. I've seen this happen with some manga series that get too popular too.
