The whole reason the "Sun God" twist happened was to establish Luffy as the sun to Blackbeard's darkness. Earlier I was thinking it would be Imu, but that just seems unlikely now. Hell, Imu's probably going to end up being a gag character because this is not a series that takes itself seriously

I don't know why, but my guess is something along this:
Older Blackbeard fruit user, zunisha, nika, imu (and maybe Toki, or at least she knows something, and also maybe vegapunk and shirahoshi, but mostly thos first 4 guys) all known eachother 800 years ago.

If I imagine those souls back in the day, i guess imu's a good guy /girl for some reason, and the blackbeard DV user fucked up something and let to the void century and the WG. I also imagine imu's like a best friend's of nika or some shit, and something like a child-like character.

Legendary fruits work differently. How come they get all sorts of special properties (Marco healing etc)? Why did Kaido have to get his ass kicked a thousand times to become a dragon?
And for that matter why did Chopper's monster point have drawbacks? Yes, he was using rumble balls, but we don't even know what Luffy's "true" zoan forms would be. He seems to have bruteforced his transformations with his rubber properties and haki, just like Chopper did with drugs. And it should be mentioned again, that Luffy had no idea he could even transform, and hell maybe he can't. We don't know enough about devil fruits, we can only look at trends. Even the definition for paramythias is shaky. Wait for Vegapunk.
