I cant think of more than a handful of good anime with good endings

People hate the Muv Luv ending but I really liked it and I'm so confused why it was so controversial.

It's probably because Takeru forgets all he went through and all the growth he did. I'm not sure myself, I liked it as well, even if the entire final arc felt off and the ending kinda missed the mark a bit. It's still nice that he got his just reward for all the shit he had to go through.

Honestly I just headcanon it as it's still "him" just with his memories wiped. He'll probably get it back in integrate as the extraverse gets fucked.
