Rika and Satoko do not acknowledge anything "they" did in Sotsu at all and Satoko believes in the existence of Oyashiro-sama which Sotsu Satoko wouldn't. Reformed Teppei can happen in any timeline, the fact that they don't acknowledge Sotsu's stuff directly means this is not directly following the events of Sotsu and so is not a "sequel" but a "spin-off"
