Monogatari

Why did they make him a manlet with an emo haircut?

Did you want him to look fat and ugly like (You) instead? Having trouble self-inserting into CHADraragi, are we?

So I can relate to him.

To reflect his VA

Do we really need another thread when the last two both died before hitting bump limit?
At least post something interesting if you're going to post another one.

Karen is interesting

because every Japanese man is a manlet and that haircut is just the "common cool-guy haircut" in Japan.
they dont have emos or goths there.

It's called being Japanese

Your wife has a boyfriend, dude.

>his girlfriend is a few millimeters taller than him

I've seen this pattern emerge with monogatari threads in general. They're like waves, with each thread its own wave, but as the tides rise and fall they come in groups. More specifically, in general there's always once every couple of days a gatari thread, 95% on waifu wars, and they're such a staple of Any Forums they share some similarities with generals, from classifying specific groups (batfags, snailfags, etc.) to specific lingo such as redditgahara. Usually these threads, since they're so common, get their fair share of fan art, very light discussion of the series, and rarely reach bump limit, but tend to be quite spaced apart and tend to reach triple digits. Then, you get a dedicated love/hate thread to the series as a whole, and if the OP is good enough, it's enough to spark a proper discussion, and as monogatari goes, it easily fills up to the bump limit and fills the bulk of later gatari threads, and can take a week or more for the discussion to die down. Ofcourse, the waifufags are eternally present, and when discussion dries up, they're all that remains, and since they usually where the ones making the OPs, they tend to make them way too frequently even after the discussion died down, and takes a while to stabilize again. Now, what kickstarted this was that OP on best monogatari season, which was quite successful, and later monogatari threads, while not OP related, srill carried that discussion through polls. The discussion would then focuss on more general monogatari discussion, from discussing Nisioisin writing compared to his other series to serious discussion to shinobu's role in the story. This past two weeks had some detailed posts on fansubbing scene on monogatari, which spanned multiple threads as well. Seems that has dried out, and this is what we're left with.
