Before ToP, Dragon Ball threads were pretty lowkey. It actually didn't simulcasted for a while, I think Universe 6 tournament is when it finally got picked up by someone, so people had to rely on fansubs which could come out whenever and stifled the discussion. However, Goku Black arc really picked up more attention and then by Tournament of Power, the power level wanking was off the fucking scale and invited way more people to post in here than normal because they only know Dragon Ball. Thus we are left with how we are today.
