making all the characters look like animals is just a cheap way to make an otherwise boring show appealling.
The author knew that no one would find the story or characters interesting with humans and so uses animal designs as a crutch.

You know what though? The reason I didn't think it was the title of the thread is because I thought Odd Taxi was about animals.
Even after Googling "Sakura Wadagaki" I'm still not sure if these human pictures are just human-form fan-art or if she really does take human form within the show.
And on another note, I was considering Odd Taxi because of the animal characters. If there are humans in Odd Taxi, however, I am no longer interested!
