Tfw they're being written out due to the current world conflict
if this happens im going to be so mad I read saga of pravda and they really grew on me
wouldnt surprise me
japan likes to pretend that it's still not butthurt that the USSR took their northern islands
japanese google maps still shows it all as temporarily occupied territory
Citation needed....
it'll be worth it if Sumipe gets booted out of UY
It would be very wrong if Sumipe gets booted because she loves USSR stuffs.
i mean... Japan is doing everything they can to get nuked by russia at the moment
Ride-On King is featured on cover of its magazine so I doubt it.
People really, really don't care about Ukraine that much, and Russia was used as "the bad guys" for so many years it barely made any dent in social consciousness. Once war is over people will be busy worrying about inflation or back to COVID instead.
It's not like they will have any relevance in the future episodes. Pravda will likely just be relegated to background extras, that won't say a word, so they don't even have to bother with contracting their seiyuu.
>you can barely see Putin
Also, the author removed almost everything related to the series on his Twitter, only leaving the link to the digital version.
Local Ukrainian boy betrays his country for mail-order loli pussy
Any bets on what's more likely to happen first: das Finale part 6 or a new war for anime girls to larp over in the 2080s?
You sure he removed it? His media tab doesn't indicate he deleted anything, and I never saw his Twitter profile before. Doesn't seem like there's any major fuss about the series in Japanese too, just couple of people pointing out that Pruchinov is based on Putin.
Still, I believe Pruchinov isn't THAT similar to Putin, the same author had actual Putin in Golosseum where he was the main antagonist, and you can see they look quite different.
As non-Japanese it's hard to gauge real fuss about it in Japan really, from my experience Japanese Twitter is really over the top and doesn't reflect reality well. Same as in the rest of the world really, Twitter amplifies stupidity so much that you'd think Western countries are literally putting Russians in concentration camps, but that's not the case. But still, there are many people that are majorly influenced by Twitter so they ARE going to do dumb things solely for performative virtue signaling, i.e. cancelling long dead Russian authors.
Japan has always had tense relationships with Russia because of Kuril islands, but as long as war is still contained solely in Ukraine, I don't believe there's going to be major backlash against everything Russian any time soon, so it mostly depends on creators' and publishers' personal politics regarding current situation. By that I mean as long as they don't cancel stuff themselves I don't believe public is going to force them.
They're not even real Ruskies.
Nah, Putin only acts when he's cornered. He's very passive. So no nukes in the nearest time. Which is a shame (kinda) they would have ended this conflict quickly and reduced casualties from both sides.
The second is more likely.
>he still believes nukes are real
It's amazing what propaganda can do to a person.
They should make a special to cash in on the current fighting. Introduce a Ukraine school and have them fight Pravda. They could even make them win if they want to push Ukraine's side. Might be good money.
No they aren't, fuck off dramanigger
Well, Russian military is getting completely humiliated so how is anyone supposed to take them seriously?
