Really funny to see people judge Kengan Omega for having nonsensical storytelling and no consequences when Ashura did the exact same things, but just managed to paint over it by having overall higher peaks and more consistent writing.
>Mokichi has his neck snapped, immediately healed and off-screened >Haruoh partners with Sekibayashi to improve, never develops or is relevant again >Sawada has his leg broken, off-screened for the rest of the story >Lihito jobs in every single fight >Hanafusa suicide charges to kill Bando with poison, immediately revived followed by Bando being revived >Himuro jobs to Kaneda so Kaneda can "vow to be strong", immediately jobs to Gaolang and both are made irrelevant >Ohma beats Raian despite being weaker than him thanks to Niko Style: Memory-Gain-Jutsu >Rei magically deflects Saw Paing's headbutt >Kuroki has to go all out to fight Setsuna, yet Setsuna jobs to Ohma in 3 punches >Gaolang goes all out and shatters his fist to fight Agito, proceeds to magically heal and return to boxing And so on, not to mention Masaki being the only character who really dies in the entire story outside of jobbers.
Anyone who was actually paying attention to how weak Ashura's narrative would immediately see something like Ohma being revived with a fake heart which allows him to double advance from a mile away, Sandro was always a hack who wanted to set up hype moments and immediately undo any consequence from them, because his writing is absolute essentialism which places whoever seems cooler in the spotlight.
>Mokichi Established Hanafusa as a Black Jack genius before his fight. Didn't magically recover back to 100% until Omega. >Haruo never develops or is relevant again No shit he doesn't, the entire tournament happens over only a few days. >Sawada has his leg broken, off-screened for the rest of the story Doesn't this go against your point about there being no consequences? >Lihito jobs in every single fight He had two fights and losing isn't jobbing. >Himuro jobs to Kaneda so Kaneda can "vow to be strong", immediately jobs to Gaolang and both are made irrelevant There's that word again. If Kaneda versus Gaolong only registered to you as "jobbing," I don't know what to tell you. >Kuroki has to go all out to fight Setsuna, yet Setsuna jobs to Ohma in 3 punches What? Kuroki didn't go all out against Setsuna. He spent half that fight not moving from one spot. >Gaolang proceeds to magically heal and return to boxing Didn't happen until Omega.
The only really bad parts you mentioned are >Hanafusa suicide charges to kill Bando with poison, immediately revived followed by Bando being revived >Ohma beats Raian despite being weaker than him thanks to Niko Style: Memory-Gain-Jutsu >Rei magically deflects Saw Paing's headbutt

>Didn't happen until Omega. In the final chapter as Yamashita drives away, a newspaper flies by announcing Gaolang's return to boxing.

Like half of these things are only issues because they didn't get properly followed up on in Omega, like Lihito and Haruo. >Kuroki has to go all out to fight Setsuna, yet Setsuna jobs to Ohma in 3 punches He was injured from Kuroki and didn't get any medical treatment besides some bandages over the hole in his chest, the narrator said he wasn't even trying to win against Ohma, and Kuroki also supposedly didn't use foresight against him anyway(I don't think that makes sense though, with comments Agito made about the fight and how he was able to weave through the final attack). >Ohma beats Raian despite being weaker than him thanks to Niko Style: Memory-Gain-Jutsu O MY MEMORIES was a bit silly, but Raian still only lost due to his own retardation and arrogance that was well established, the ref was literally mid sentence calling the fight for him before Raian threatened to kill him if he did. That said, I don't disagree that Asura had dumb plot points, especially anything to do with Hayami. It's just that like you said, it was presented overall better, the characters were generally more compelling, and there was a level of implicit trust between Sandro and the reader whereas now the suspension of disbelief is basically dead.

That didn't show that his fist was as good as new.
TRUE LOVE PREVAILS. I hope Koga saves Xia Ji in the next chapter, could serve as a parallel to chapter 50's Ohma-Raian entrance and a nice way to herald the return to the Koga Ryuki show
>Suicide bombing in Italy >Graffiti vandalism in the US Sandro, that's not how escalation works.

He didn't deserve this. Even amid all of Sandro's comically bad writing, exploding villains, jobbing knife users, and elbowing manlets, Lu manages to stand out for how pointlessly meanspirited it was. There was absolutely no reason to include things like him being genuinely friends with Purgatory and being a wild card with no loyalty to the worms if he was just going to be a mindless grunt for them to the end.

It made Father side with the Anti-Worm guys, so maybe not the most brilliant strategic move from Worm

But user, he dared block Raian's punch and challenge Agito.
>Be Worm >Fanatical cult with thousands of members embedded in all sorts of govts and organizations over the course of centuries >Goal: find/create the ultimate warrior to eventually put Wulong or [super secret leader]'s brain in, to continue their lifespan forever and then enact their world takeover plan >Decide it's time >Start bombing places to bring notoriety and attention >Tell govts "hey we're going to put on a tournament to find the ultimate fighter, bring your best >"PS we have agents all over the place, if you don't play ball we'll assassinate key figures and bomb more places" >Niko/Gaoh styles and Gu Rituals etc are offshoot projects with the purpose of making the ultimate fighter
And thus it will bring us to the final tournament where Koga and the gang are forced to fight each other and/or head Worms. Winner of that tournament gets to prove themselves to the head of the Worm and fight him, then they get their body stolen. All the while, Koga develops himself as a fighter.
