If Pegasus walked into a real-life major Yu-gi-oh tournament, and his cards were allowed and worked as they did in the source material, what are his chances of winning the tournament? Is mind-reading too much of an advantage, or would competitive decks be able to win through brute force?
Let's say no shadow realm though.
If Pegasus walked into a real-life major Yu-gi-oh tournament...
Mind reading can't help much if you have a bad hand or can't counter opponents effects.
At most he would know when not to attack.
he would be a great poker player, that's for sure. TCG? probably not
Your eldlich card is mine boy! Now it’s a toon
>Let's say no shadow realm though.
Pussy
>no card where it wins the duel upon draw
At least he was a sportsman at heart
Mind reading won’t save you from a shit hand or low powered cards that can’t clear an opponents board or stop OTK.
I love Pegasus
He imposes an intimidating no-nonsense personality but his cards show that he is a playful child inside
Wish he played active role on the series and joined the gang like Kaiba
If he keeps his anime effects I'd say it could give him a fair share of wins. His deck is tailor made to exploit mind reading with lots of counter and copy effects.
>shadow game with TCG nerds
They wouldn't last 5 seconds
Didn't Bakura kill him in the manga?
yeah he rips his goddamn eyeball out and starts licking it
Ok but did he die?
yeah there's a whole spin-off about his son who looks like sephiroth being butthurt about it
Oh wow
Now he has a son out of nowhere
Yeah, I don't care about the manga anymore past those words
well it's an adopted son but he still looks just like him for some reason
Is mokuba allowed to play card games in the manga? If so what's his archetype?
you mean current yugioh? and he's using his deck from the show? he has absolutely no chance of winning, mind reading or not. it's not even a contest. try googling videos of modern meta decks.
He used a stolen deck once with Krokodilus and a plant that's all
A present-day tournament? Probably something like
>"Mind Scan! With the power of the Millennium Eye, your very soul becomes an open book! Now, tell me! What will you do on your next turn?"
>"I'm going to play solitaire for a bit and then win."
>"Oh, um, okay then."
Same thing for any era, really
>yata-garasu gg
>chaos emperor dragon gg
>I play toon world!!
>Ash blossom'd
gg
Most card games are 90% luck 10% strategy.
His chances would be quite literally zero.
He would not win a single game.
There couldn't be a worse time than now for his deck.
Presumably the judge would DQ you for teleporting to another dimension where he can't watch your plays.
