It's his “Gear 5”. -Luffy vs. Kaidou. -Luffy grabs Kaidou from the roof and takes him upstairs, then attacks him in a savage way. -Luffy grabs the ground and transforms it into rubber to return a Boro Breath to Kaidou. - For whoever cares about Orochi and Hiyori, the small scene is apparently Hiyori taking off her mask - Luffy decided to call the fruit's awakening "Gear 5": "My ultimate, that's it...!! Gear 5th" - Luffy can jump very high, and it looks like the Nika silhouette seen before. His body was still as flexible as rubber.
More the Popeye comparisons is a good one, because one of the things that "awakening" gives Luffy's fruit is "freedom". And that "freedom" allows Luffy to fight as he wants, and in this case (for now) it's to fight as if he were a cartoon, with all sorts of crazy things.
And as you can see, that doesn't only affect him, it also affects the enemy (that's why Kaidou in one image also looks like someone out of Looney Tunes or something).

It's curious that we have seen Multiple Users of same DF (Momo's Case is different) from Paramecia & Logia Classes but Oda never done that before with Zoan. It should also be noted that Vegapunk & Caesar were only able to make Zoan DF & it's only Type that can be fed to Objects. This means there is high chance, Three Types of Devil Fruits don't have same Origin! Each Type is completely different.
It's interesting to note that Oda made Jinbe the only one who could donate his Blood to Luffy after his Fight with Hody & not only Jinbe was from "Sun Pirates" but Who's Who suggested that there is a Connection between Sun Pirates & Sun God Nika. I don't think pre timeskip Luffy without Haki and his Haki Sharpening would've stood a chance against the Yonko's at all. He probably would never see there faces since the 3 Commanders would be too strong for him.
People have got to understand that without the Advanced Haki's (sometimes you'll even need both Advanced Haki and Awakening), you'll never even stand a chance against them. And that's excluding their already powerful crewmates. If we include them too, if you don't have a powerful crew with some powerful allies then you're dead before you even make it half way to the Captain. Luffy had no immunity my dude. Nobody has immunity when they're facing Top Tiers because of their crewmates and the Captain of those pirates.
Sugar has one of the Strongest Devil Fruits in One Piece. But she ain't beating Kaido if she can't get close to him, and I guarantee King (if not Queen too) is gonna notice her before she even gets close to Kaido like that. Luffy worked for where he is right now. He's just a kid who got lucky by eating an OP Devil Fruit. But if the kid never grew up to be strong, the Devil Fruit would never be used at its maximum potential.
