I haven't read this but Asano's stuff are some of the few manga more suited for live action than for anime.

Could be either that or a mix between both, it's kinda hard to tell since it's asano's first adaptation.

As long as they don't fuck up Ouran (my wife) it's all good. Should have adapted Nijigahara Holograph though, this won't reach the end.

I'm really happy for Asano, and I think the pacing of this manga would adapt better to anime than Punpun. It's a lot more episodic in the first half, and mostly sticks to one group of characters iirc.
