What are your thoughts? I'm currently in episode 20 catching up. I feel that it got awfully dragged from episode 13 or 14 onwards (Castle return arc). I'm just a bit annoyed, the first episodes were so interesting and thrilling, then everyone is getting healed. Somehow Bojji's babbling and crying has gotten to my nerves.
Ousama Ranking
Last ep was so shit I forgot there's one more episode.
Are they ever gonna acknowledge he tried to get his own brother killed? I mean yes he was influenced by mirrorjo but still.
Doubt it he gonna be busy trying to lay Miranjo. She prob watched him jerk off while in the mirror.
it's a trainwreck, oh well
I think most of us feel the same way, it started off promising but then every single character was retconned into a g-good guy all along! and forgiveness jutsu and other corny shit. Also Miranjo is a fucking garbage villain.
>shonenshit goes downhill the moment the big battles start
Such many cases
I really love it, both the manga and anime. I don't like what happened with Daida and Miranjo but I'm not going to let that ruin it for me. I only wish the English translation was further or, more preferably, that they'd start releasing physical copies. It's popular enough for that, hopefully.
It's still enjoyable
Hopefully the next arc will just be about adventures without returning to the castle
Wasn't a fan of Bojji suddenly becoming super strong and Kage doing nothing but cheerleading. Wasn't a fan of every villain, no matter how minor, having the same brand of tragic backstory. Wasn't a fan of entire episodes being wasted on people standing around talking, healing, talking in what's supposed to be a fight to the death while the villains stand idly by flip flopping their motivations so much you don't even know why anybody's here. It lost the plot.
the animation in this is great, its so sappy and one dimensional but I'd still say its good all around
I dropped it halfway into s2. It just became bad.
>Wasn't a fan of every villain, no matter how minor, having the same brand of tragic backstory
The people that killed Miranjos mother, the people that killed the shadow clan, the gods and 3 of the 6 criminals all had no tragic backstories
Hilling is the only thing that makes it worthwhile
The pacing is really weird. The entire journey of Bojji, Domas and Hokuro only takes one episode and Boji also meets the crazy forest king during that episode. But the fight against Ouken takes like 5 episodes.
The actual fight Bojji vs him wasn't even long, it's the shitty courtfights with the beasts that dragged on so much and Bojji reaching the castle again.
I still don't get why it was even there. The episode where Dorshe fights the beasts was cool as shit, afterwards they weren't needed anymore, since you cannot top that fight and already know what they are capable of and that they can be defeated by guys like him.
The one thing that I didn't like about this adaption is that they skipped a lot of little good scenes and even some important scenes in favor of that stupid beast fight. I don't understand why. Especially considering that some of the skipped scenes were shown right there during those chapters in the manga.
Who groomed who, user?
It stops dragging right where you are.
Unsatisfying transitional ending episode, but taken as a whole, show was 9/10.
They probably should have stretched certain scenes out since they wanted to finish a whole arc in 23 eps. The pacing isn't slow during the second cour but it does seem slightly slower than before. It helps the Ouken fight is interspersed with other shit happening though.
>Also Miranjo is a fucking garbage villain
Miranjo is the villain of Ousama ranking like Ginyu force is the villain of dragon ball
The big four are the ginyu force of ousama ranking.
That's the only way I can the plot moving on.
