I've always supported and rooted for Eren, since day one. When everyone mocked him, when insecure and spineless limp-wristed faggots pretentiously dismissed him, when fatass hags and troons seethed about him, when subversives lied about him, I stayed loyal to Eren Yeager. Those faggots are all subhuman vermin that will never make a difference in their lives. They won't even muster up a good normal life with a happy family, because they're cowards and satanists, all they will ever do is will spread filth and celebrate decay.
But Eren fought. He refused to be a footnote and wrote history itself. No matter how much they lie about him, no matter how much the homosexuals and subversives and monkeys slander him, no matter how much that faggot Isayama butchers him, Eren will always be a hero and a real human being. It was his world, all these other faggots - that faggot Isayama included - just got to live in it.

This episode highlights a few things that really shows actual progress in the world.
The power of the Thudnerspears are very apparent in this fight. Sure, Reiner and Annie managed to hold out for a bit. But once they were cornered, that was it. If the Scouts weren't there, the Yaegerists would have taken them down. Technological advancement matters.
Then we have the character growth. Like Shadis said, everyone has grown up. Connie, who was always joking around, was resolute in his choice. As were the others, who whilst have killed people to survive, are now doing so to save.
Then we have Floch. He was trembling in fear, and even contemplated ignoring orders. Now? He's leading the charge with Eren. He, and all of the Yaegerists, and there fighting for their cause. They aren't just content with letting Eren do all the work, and they put their lives on the line for that.
And we finally have Magath come to the realization, despite it being far too late, that this all started because of his orders. Only at the end did he realize that the only thing that would have made him happy was for the children he has used to jsut live a normal life.
Along with him, we have Shadis, the man who was always a bystander, who was never able to change anything, despite his best efforts. His last moments though, despite nobody knowing of it, was the main reason any of them survived.
What a well written series.
