Too many flashbacks & moves at a snails pace. This was actually the anime of the year in japan when it came out too btw, i gave it a 10 but dropped it to 9 after multiple viewings exposed the flaws

I am doing a rewatch now. This thing is super low budget. The intro, ED and prelude are all bumpers. OK. There is an obscene amount of pan and scan, held frames and narration over stills. Ok. Evangelion was the same way. Like EVERY episode has about seven minutes of recap from a previous episode or reused flashback. Unforgivable.
