I remember trying Marnie and thinking it wasn't very good. Maybe I should give it more of a chance.

A lot of people seem to think that but it’s still in the top tier of ghibli films for me. I expected it to turn into some lesbian romance the first time I watched it, perhaps it not doing that is why it’s one of the lower rated ghiblies

Why would I need to justify anything? But, anyway, I do still enjoy it for the most part, although I found some of the redraws unfortunate and I do feel that it's moving along too slowly. That's also why I do consider replacing it, but I'm not there yet.
(In case you're wondering with what, I think I've narrowed it down to two things by now: Either Emanon, which of course isn't finished yet, or EnDevi, which I finished reading a few months ago thanks to a storytime thread telling me that the scanlations were finally done.)

Volume 4 is the last one, it doesn't have an official English translation yet IIRC but the scanlation got dumped here. It ends with Emanon meeting an ugly bastard, still not sure how to feel about it. I wish he would finish Wandering Island already, apparently he's working on a sequel to La Pomme Prisonnière now.
