The thing is, the manga is STILL great and the character writing has only been getting better the longer it's gone on, with them all being developed well and having more interesting dynamics form.
It has the exact opposite pattern of most other series, I would say it started decent to okay and only became better. And even with that, it's visibly heading towards an end point with how several characters' futures are set up. The authors know what they're doing and it will end when it ends.

Pretty sure the authors currently preparing the fans for Gochiusa to end. I highly doubt they'll write all of them being in college. Maybe we'll get a timeskip to see Megu's bazoonga's, though. I'll send some pictures from mine and Sharo's wedding for her to include, too.

Preparing, yes, but they're long term plans.
At the current pace it could last another 3-4 years. More if they make another arc like the city trip, with many chapters covering a short span of in-story time.

The twins heavily improved Maya and Megu by existing, and they're getting used more openly to interact with other characters now after a long period where the authors seemed afraid of doing so.
The Yura retcon was weird when it first happened but not at all a bad thing in the long run. She's entertaining and if they wanted to give Rize a friend like that it was better to take an existing near-one-off and give her more life than to invent an entirely new one out of the blue.
