Komi has nothing going on for her other than being a hot girl. All the other annoyingly over-the-top characters worship the shit out of this anxious mess of a human being, treating her like a literal goddess and in turn dehumanizes her.
An example of a character who DESERVES the love she gets is Akebi. This dork over here is full of life and energy, and actively participates in the world she lives in. Her go-getter attitude is something to be rightfully admired and definitely cements her show as something praise-worthy, even if one were to be put-off by all the feet fanservice.
