Why does Any Forums have double standards about edge? I constantly see FMA 2003 be shat on for being "edgy schlock", but turn around and worship shows like Madoka for being "bold", "different", or "mature" when, at it's core, is a story about 10 year old girls getting tricked progressively hurt and humiliated by forces way out of their understanding. Why are you guys so hypocritical?
Any Forums double standards on edge
kys newfag
Did you just make up some random narrative and then claim that's what Any Forums is saying? Retard
Any Forums's core is to be hypocrites at all times, that's the nature of an anonymous image board where everyone shares different opinions on things. It should serve as a good reminder to never blindly trust someone's take on something
Because FMA takes a cast of broken characters and puts them through shit gags like pic related, which is tone deaf as fuck and makes the serious bits of the story like yet another joke - and because Madoka takes a cast that may as well have come out of a CCS spin-off and breaks them down bit by bit until the viewer can no longer recognize the sweet and blissful characters from the beginning of the story.
Retards like this kid will never understand storytelling. It's why they like shounen anime in the first place.
>fmanbaby seething again
Nothing new here
Madoka is just Ryuki, it's just that copying toku is still better than the vast majority of battle shonen.
>t. speedwatcher
No I'm not
That's exactly what a speedwatcher would say.
Madoka is the PINNACLE of anime
>Any Forums is one person
I agree with this gentleman and scholar.
Violet is better
Anyway, S;G sucks
I respect VEGbros. You anons had Madoka's back when the Steins Gate fags started attacking everyone and I haven't forgotten it.
I hate the tonal whiplash in FMA. Definitely more of a Brotherhood thing though.
Stop replying to yourself Pedro
I have never seen anyone say FMA is edgy. They rightfully call it shonenshit.
The literal only thing I know about Madoka is back when people were creaming themselves constantly over Mami having her head bit off as if it was some new pinnacle of storytelling that will never be surpassed. I know this was just Any Forums being autistic and forms a false first impression of the series, but I've never felt compelled to try after that.
Sounds like me not wanting to try Souls games because people only sell them on how hard they are. Even though I'm pretty sure that's not the only reason why people like them at this point.
Madoka is good, you should try it.
The series honestly wasn't a normal magical girl series before episode 3 like people like to claim. It already had plenty of darker leaning stuff to it. Mami's death may have still been surprising but it wasn't nearly as much of a "twist" as I see claimed.
It's a good series (and movie) though. You should watch it. Rebellion is also a top tier Shaft production.
