Does it bother you when something you cared about suddenly becomes uberpopular?

No because I'm not a self-inserting contrarian

If you look as the state of CSM posters and still say no you're a goddamn lier

Yes.

No, you tastless sheep.

No but it does make it a lot less likely for me to discuss it here, due to the inevitable influx of undesirables.

Yes...a lot actually

This. Every sunday I check out every Jump chapter dump except for shit like BnHA and One Piece because:
>everyone already read the spoilers
>threads are full of autistic pseudogeneral ritualposting

Yes, the more popular something is the more broad of an audience it brings including undesirable people who should be gatekept

No
I'm happy more people are enjoying it
Also helps ensure the property's future and accessibility

If it goes to shit due to the popularity, you will always have the pieces you enjoyed
Nothing can retroactively ruin them

I only started hating it when Jojo fanbase has been filled with leftists, trannies and fake anime fans that whine all the time about "problematic" stuff at anime. And of course yaoifags.

It bothered me a little bit that after the JoJo anime started airing Part 2 became the de facto "best part" when I had always hated it and Joseph.

I dislike it because it usually ruins attempts at discussing and/or comfily enjoying the story, but I also like it because it means porn of the series is about to multiply in quantity

Only in relation to discussing it and the "community." I'll still read/watch something but I'm less likely to discuss it or I'll bail out immediately if I know threads are going to be overrun with obsessive people. Main offenders are autistic shipfaggotry and people lashing out at others while using something as a vehicle for their own problems.

More fanart and other creative works are nice though so I wouldn't discourage something from becoming more popular.

no. I only have a problem when the fans of said popular thing start trying to make everything about themselves. Jojo for instance has one of the worst fanbases but I still enjoy the series, I just don't associate with them and refuse to mention that I like the show cause that's how it escalates and you'd never hear the end of it.

As long as the popularity doesn’t tamper too much with the events in the series as it’s running, no, I don’t mind. There’s not much that makes me drop a show more than when it gets too pandering and self-aware.

no because I'm not autistic, perception of others has no effect how I perceive shit, and I don't read shit for some social appeal, especially not on fucking Any Forums of all places.

Good thing most shit I like are always unpopular as fuck despite having a (bad) anime

Yes absolutely. Not just certain anime. But in general.

The nice thing about JoJo is that DP is not influenced by the fandom.

Usually no, but it is heartbreaking when a great work of art is trampled by hypefags.

no because im not a major faggot who cant enjoy something because its popular in the first place.
