The boss didn't want to kill Bucciarati at first because of his loyalty, but he didn't want to be seen either. This is very simple and you should've been able to figure this out on your own.

Bucciarati was planning to betray the boss as soon as he could, he probably still tried to while time was being erased, look he's still holding Trish's hand meaning he wasn't planning on giving her up

He's not enough to carry it. The two supporting characters are either flat like Lisa Lisa or shit like Caesar (he started off ok, but going full retard to push the plot along ruined his character for me), and the villains suck other than Wham and kinda Kars

Has the coolest power system further explored from part 1, the best MC, the most likeable villains who have actual reasons for why they work together so loyally and are as strong as they are (whereas dio just has people having orgasms or killing themselves for him based on ??? he's just that likeable okay, excepting the very few he parasited), the most interesting fights that aren't just the mc suddenly being super strong for no reason (part 1) or the mc suddenly getting new powers for no reason (every other part).
It doesn't get sidetracked all the time (part 4) and make you wonder what the fuck the point of anything ise, have broken healing powers attached to the mc (part 4, 5) to remove any and all sense of tension, have fights devolve into who has the most broken ability (every part past 2), or have a giant largely irrelevant cast (every part beyond this but sbr) that won't fuck off but generally add nothing because the mc is too op for them to really matter.
3 was the start of the fall for the series.

The anime of it is a slog. Part 3 is awful if you ever go back and re-watch it, is was bearable week by week but that's all.

Diamonds were at least consistent and the threat of real danger was still present because he couldn't use it on himself (except that one time when he uses it on his blood, but ignore that).
Golden Experience was a part ruiner because it wasn't consistent and just did whatever was required as the part went on, constantly violating it's own established rules.

Not particularly no. He was barely involved in the story as 'the friend no one likes', did next to nothing then died. He was clearly added to die. Same level of impact as if the random alien died.
