Build Divide
...
nah
Sell me on this. Is the story any good? And what about the card game?
Yeah the story is good, it was made to appeal to non cards players
It's written by Kakegurui author and has Aniplex money
Do they explain about the card game? I wanna know what's happening and not just watch characters do battles and stuff.
Synopsis (contains spoilers for s1)
Neo Kyoto, a city ruled by the "King."
In Neo Kyoto , "Rebuild Battles," battles in which people challenge the "King" to fulfill their wishes, take place.
The truth, however, is that Neo Kyoto is a virtual city, and its purpose is to select the person who is the best at Build Divide, who will be installed as the main CPU to merge with the programs that run the city. And Teruto's battle was to save Kikka, who was trapped as a CPU...
-Time passes, 3 years later-
Neo Kyoto has lost its former cityscape and has become a crumbling city.
People are being captured by the King's messengers known as KUGE and sent to the "barrels" to be deprived of their magic power, all for the sake of the "King"
In the midst of all this, one girl is being chased by KUGE. This girl is the former king, Kikka Kurabe. Kikka was considered the strongest in the history of Neo Kyoto. But even she is helplessly pursued by KUGE with no Build Divide deck in her possession.
"This is a sin, this is punishment. I will never see the light again..."
Days of running away with various regrets, sinking into the depths of despair, the only one who can offer her a helping hand is...
"I want to see you again"
"Teruto..", "Master.."
Set in the collapsed city of "Neo Kyoto," 2 girls join hands. The battle to meet their loved ones begins now.
They do explain but they skip a lot of round in a match because they want to focus in the plot more
They go over all the basic mechanics and flow of the game and card abilities once as they used. Don't expect them to explain pot of greed to you every time.
also this. They often skip showing early games aka first few turns of the match
Okay, thanks. Sounds interesting enough. Was just wondering if card game anime are still good as it were.
The first episode is a tutorial so it goes a bit slow and teaches you the basics. The duels afterwards mostly show everything although there are a couple that skip turns for the sake of plot development. It's not YGO level where they show everything but it's decent enough for a seasonal show that's trying to balance card games and story and it's way more than what other seasonal card game shows do.
New bios
Hiyori Munenashi
A hard-working girl from the outer districts of the city.
Three years ago, she met Teruto and Sakura and enjoyed her time with them as their "younger sister."
Currently, she lives together with her classmates in a safe-house.
She has changed from three years ago, perhaps due to the harsh environment after the collapse of the city, and her expression and personality have become much cooler.
The ace and territory she uses is the White "Parhadora."
Kikka Kurabe
She is Teruto's twin sister and was the King until three years ago.
She had the strongest Build Divide ability of all the previous kings of Neo Kyoto.
However, she currently does not have a deck, and just looking at cards makes her nauseous..
Her release from the throne should have allowed her to regain her original personality and expression, but she has come to despise herself due to the trauma she has suffered.
The ace and territory she uses is the Blue "Iris".
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
MUST PROTECT
OP will be Gold by EGOIST again.
ED will be A Shout of Triumph by Who-ya Extended
>OP by EGOIST
Another certified banger
I just noticed Teruto is in the back and the cherry blossom petals must represent Sakura. Kino.
>No Naomitsu
I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t get as much focus and he gets his turn in s3, which would be aptly titles Code Red. At least I hope that happens.
I am just happy to see Kikka again as a main cast. I welcome Hiyori x Kikka too
we better get to see plenty of her
There's no way they can top the 1st OP
What's unique about this? I usually ignore all anime card games but Vanguard is actually a pretty fun game so I guess I can give this a try.
