The obvious one aside, I think Potara fusion should've been replaced with the Fusion dance. I know that throws a wrench in the movie, but it becomes a last ditch tactic that they can use that doesn't rely on circumstance.

When you think about it, Vegito living with Bulma is literally the best scenario for her. She gets Bejita AND Son-kun!

That would screw with the already in existence xeno trunks who is alone, who so far has come from the timeline he blew out Cell and the Androids user. by doing that Toriyama would have effectively erased decades of xeno trunks history and completely changed the story of the xenoverse games and manga and interfered with Heroes AND Online.

Not really, it sounds really good until you remember that Vegito has half of Goku's personality and Goku is a noticeably worse husband than Bejita
