8 years later after it ended and its still hasn't be topped as the best martial art series of all time. How did Matsuena do it?
History strongest Disciple Kenichi
I dislike that there are no visible nipples
Was only good for the fanservice
Ikkitousen did the fanservice stuff better
Who?
I lost interest shortly after the MC won that tournament.
>Fist of the North Star exists
>Baki exists
>Ikkitousen exists
>Kenji exists
it's good user, but don't kid yourself
what ever makes Kenichi great, you can be sure either of the above mentioned mogs Kenichi in their respective fields
Kenichi was really fun but it's no Baki unfortunately
They do become more visible toward the end.
Baki is for faggots and people with shit taste in art
>Ikkitousen
Where do I find this? MD only has up to v. 17 and nyaa has nothing translated.
It's actually close to perfect up through Ragnarok, but then it gradually gets more and more formulaic and contrived up until its wet fart of an ending. Still would absolutely recommend for the fanservice and great character banter
Time to learn Japanese!
this was really fun
After the Island tournament arc the quality got worse, there are some good moment like Boris fight but the plot just go nowhere, the Mui rescue arc is where I drop the series
So who's gonna start a storytime?
Can someone explain the reason why he ended it? Was it because of the 50th aniversary of sunday where the chief editor pushed those 50 new series?
I'm glad he was able to do Kimi wa 008 though.
meant to say 55th

Are absolutely correct
Fight against Odin and Kensei's infodump about double style is where the series jumped the shark - from there on it was basically "magical kung fu vs magical kung fu" and any sort of realism was gone for good.
Then series jumped the shark again during Kenichi vs Sho fight - a literal dumbfuck with no talent (but trained by best of the best) beat an ultimate prodigy from clan of prodigies (but trained by best of the best, not just his own teacher). At this point it became clear that plotarmor will save Kenichi from anything.
Then series jumped the shark for the third time during Apachai vs Agaard fight - it was the perfect moment for good guys to finally lose ONCE and for Apachai to die with a huge hole in his chest, especially since entire arc was the culmination of his character. But nope, plotarmor galore, somehow you can fix a wound like that and Apachai survived, only to do fuckall for the rest of the manga. This is where it became crystal clear that good guys can NEVER lose in this manga.
And then series jumped the shark for the fourth time during Hongo vs Jenezad fight - one was a fantastic master but yet to reach his limit, while the other one was several times more talented and experienced (and in his own hometown), knew literal bullshit techniques even outside of martial arts and wiped the floor with Hongo, only to randomly die because the former one had more TENACITY (read - plotarmor) than the latter one. This is where it became clear that it doesn't matter how talented and good you are, what actually matters is how much plotarmor you have.
Eternal Sunset was just garbage and rushed.
It was just that great.
>ikkitousen
shitty martial arts, and you forgot teppu.
Metaphorical faggots*
I always wonder what could be the Dou version of Ryusui Seikuken. The obvious would be berserker mode but I always felt like that was an unrefined version of what a true antithesis to RS would be.
