I just want to know why they didn't just make it a gundam series. I like that sunrise took a chance on a new mecha franchise, especially given the desert that mecha is now.

Eventually. Honestly the idea of Mercury is the most exciting thing to me. It's not a planet that gets a lot of exposure in anime sci-fi. It's probably going to be a person FROM Mercury as some sort of magical NotNewtype bullshit and it'll take place on Earth but it caught my interest anyway.
