I'm pretty sure Zenitsu is the strongest living entity on the planet after the final battle.
Also there was an extra chapter where Tanjiro life coached Zenitsu so he would stop being a spaz and actually impress Nezuko.
Zenitsu's loyalty to Nezuko is without question and he's already friends with her brother.
Nezuko is a country girl who wants to get married fast and have lots of kids and Zenitsu is more than sufficient for that purpose.
So really everyone won in the end. Nezuko and Zenitsu got exactly what they wanted and Tanjiro found someone to protect his sister after he dies in a couple few years.
