He's good at thinking up powers up and showing them but actual combat, he can't do it, which is why Bleach feels so underwhelming.
Naruto is the same with the time skip during battles at later stage sof the manga.

with the bloodwar arc than the last 10 years of one piece. Just that Mayuri vs pernida with Kenpachi and Urahara vs Askin was worth it alone. Bleach>Naruto>One Piece

Title Kubo is a mediocre author even for shonen standards, but he had creativity and cool designs. the new shoes like Kimetsu and JJK are clearly inspired by Bleach but fixed some of Kubo mistakes.

Kubo has pretty good choreography actually. As much as he overused "I am behind you now" and "I have destroyed you with overwhelming force" shots, they're always impactful, especially with his brawler heavy charqcters. Look at the flow of fights with Ichigo vs Grimmjow or Kenichi vs Grammy. Tell me you don't follow every move and feel every hit. The problem is his extremely roomy paneling style where he dedicates whole pages to actions and how much he really loves scenes with a lot of flair.
