how in the fuck do they keep magic and grail wars secret when cities just keep randomly exploding, an F-15 dogfights a UFO while a giant tentacle monster commits mass murder, and other such incidents?

A wizard did it.

That's just normal day in Japan

Fate is retarded trash

About those random explosions, F-15 dogfights, UFO , giant tentacle monster who commits mass murder, and other such incidents

Blame Russia

Its not like your average person is going to walk up and see any of this at close range. Most people will see a bright light flash in the sky or on the horizon and the church who is handling the coverup will blast the story of it being swamp gas or some shit over the media. Its not a great cover but the point of the show isnt being ultra realistic but being interesting. Covering up stuff like that isnt a big enough plot hole to give a shit about.

grail wars aren't exactly frequent

wasn't there an entire bridge of people watching when the tentacle monster came out of the sea?

A few dozen probably ya. Now take that number and divide by the population of the city. They are not the average person in the city. Yes they are average people but the number of them is so small its easy to suppress them by corralling them all together and blaming it on group hallucination or some shit.. You only run into issues when a very large population witnesses an event and most of the time that can just be explained as some kind of natural disaster or whatever.

just a gas leak bro

That stuff happens way too often for that be a valid response. At some point people would be calling bullshit

Hardly. Between most grail wars there was 70 years or so and thats plenty of time to forget what happens. The last two were a fluke with how close they were to another. As for all of the other nasuverse situations that come up like the bees on a plane or zombie island they are so distant from eachother in time and space that nobody is going to give a shit or see enough of it to connect the dots really. And if they do then they have the mage association and the church to deal with.

The only place that has a real issue with many occurrences is near the clock tower but that is literally their home base. They own and run that city and have the power to bend the narrative to whatever they want by whatever means they have to use. Everything else is so spread out its all written off as a disaster or fairy tales.

its magic I don't gotta explain shit

someone normal investigating magic linked crimes and getting way over his head on the bullshit sounds like a fun plot line

Remember when saber used Excalibur in the middle of the fucking city for everyone and their mother to see and nothing came of it?

I remember.

Shit ya it does but its something that most people see as less interesting than running round following mages so i doubt it will ever be a thing. Something like that is probably best made as its own franchise considering most of it will be in someone finding out the secrets and sharing them with the viewer instead of some kind of reveal the already known because thousands of pages of setting that already exists. Would it really be interesting for a reporter to stumble over the grail wars and act like its a big secret and present it to someone who watched/read fate? Probably not.

It's because the anime has always greatly exaggerated what the visual novel described in terms of spectacle.

the masses are retarded and will believe anything and those who don't are called conspiracy theorists

enkidu just caused world war iii

What a jerk.

Given how MA just killed the entire village since lolzombie killing witnesses is not something they won't do just to keep magic a little bit longer.

why are you obsessed with this garbage series

Same way it works in the real world.

>Enkidu, anticipating what would happen next, explosively released his own magical power that he had carried from the ground to here, and prepared to intercept.
>The next moment - as if not giving him time to deploy his treasure tool, Tia spat out powerful words to activate her magic.
>Multiple "moons" with masses ranging from 500 kilograms to several tens of tons, far exceeding the speed of sound, poured down toward Enkidu and the earth.
>The moon is shot out like a rail gun at ultra-high speed without burning up or slowing down, as if a technique was applied to nullify friction with the air. It was obvious that if all of them fell to the ground, there would be tremendous damage to the earth and to life.
>At that moment──the power that flowed into Enkidu's body from somewhere else surged up inside his body as an enormous amount of energy, temporarily boosting all of his specifications as a Heroic Spirit.
>Enkidu's Noble Phantasm is released without a pause.
Borrowing the power of the stars and human reason, he transforms his own spirit itself into a wedge of armor that pierces through everything. While deploying a golden chain around him, Enkidu plunges forward in a spiral, aiming to smash the approaching evil stars.

And an enormous amount of light overflows.
A huge flower of magical power opened up at the upper stratospheric limit, enveloping the shattered stars one flower or valve at a time.
The bouncing energy reached the Kerman Line, which means the border of the universe, and became a pseudo aurora, decorating the universe above the snowfield with a spectacular display.
Was Tia's great magic perceived as a threat to the earth or to human reason?
With the power of deterrence infused in his treasure, Elkidu successfully prevented a massive attack on the snow field.
However──the attack itself was not completely nullified.
The aftermath was also tremendous.

Some of the shattered pieces of the star were deflected from the petals of magic and fell to the earth in a diffuse manner.
The smallest of these fragments veered off to the far east toward Washington, D.C., where the Anacostia River joins the Potomac River.
The impact of the pieces falling in the middle of the river, which is about a kilometer wide, instantly sent the river's water skyward in an unforeseen downpour over the quake-shaken White House area.
Another shard fell into Yellowstone National Park and pierced the ground, temporarily activating magma activity and chilling geologists.
Another shard flies far to the west, crossing the Pacific Ocean and landing on the coast of Japan.
The shards, which generated heat as a result of the runaway magic, instantly vaporized a large amount of water near the surface of the sea.
The spray and column of vapor that rose several kilometers into the air was seen by nearby ships and coastal areas, and caused an uproar on the Internet that it could be an undersea volcanic eruption, a falling long-range missile, or an alien attack.
Another piece fell on Russian soil, setting off an alert that an attack was underway from another country, and the tension was immediately transmitted around the world.
But it was the second largest piece that had the greatest global impact.
The shard, which flew northward while retaining an enormous amount of magical power, collapsed the surrounding materials upon impact.
As a result, the terrain did not change, but the human population was psychologically impacted.
The next time an observation satellite caught sight of it...
Approximately 12% of the sea ice in the Arctic Ocean had disappeared cleanly.
If this had happened to the ice on the Antarctic Continent, the amount would have affected the surface of the Earth's water.

Because the 100 people that saw it will be dismissed as crazy conspiracy theorists if the government and corporations work together to cover up the events, and they will, because all the mages would be heavily involved and connected in politics and finance.
