I'm expecting the worst outcome: Luffy eating the super secret Nika Nika no Mi and being the reincarnation of Joyboy. Joyboy's spirit possessed him and will possess him while he defeats Kaido. This is never brought up by Luffy's crew and this does nothing to change Luffy as a character. And it turns out that everything that happened in One Piece was predetermined by Fate and that free will doesn't actually exist.
That way, I can't possibly be disappointed by what happens
