filler ep but mildly interesting

I wouldn't call the backstories of plot-relevant characters we knew almost nothing about "filler". It's just that these slower-paced eps keep coming at awkward moments, just when the tension is rising and the plot seems to be going somewhere.

This is the only anime that started this season that I still enjoy. I only watched three others to begin with but they all get worse with every episode while this here gets better. Not super great or anything but it did improve in my opinion.

sakiko whatsherface is the only real plot relevant one and her time is over and we basically learned nothing new about her. 0th was sort of adjacent to her but not in a relevant way beyond him making up the name. the rest of the backstory characters are irrelevant to the plot.
