In fact, I can't think of any shounen, or manga in particular, that fucked up that bad. SnK can never be broken

I'm hoping for a legendary shitstorm too but I think most long time readers already expect One Piece to not have a satisfying ending, so unless it winds up being downright terrible they won't care so much.
