he specifically only uses children that were gonna starve to death in a ditch anyway, and gives them good lives for a while before he offs them. he also remembers the names and aspirations of all of them. bondrewd is absolutely a monster but the alternative is to sit around and do nothing. he's arguably the only white whistle we've seen that actually does something of value. ozen for instance just molests her boygirl maid all day and abuses the people who come by for fun.

The only thing that makes Bonedad interesting is that he's not a hypocrite. he would (and has) absolutely dismember himself and turn himself into a meat suitcase if it could further his goal.
He's a monster, but in a totally pragmatic autistic way, he's not malicious or vindictive. Which isn't what you expect as a viewer when you encounter a character as evil as him.

He turns Prushka into a cartridge so she can become Riko's white whistle because he actually wants to see her succeed, but he knows she doesn't have what it takes to continue her journey. It's the "We're not so different you and I" trope except Akihito isn't a bad writer
he's also disturbingly honest and straightforward. the closest thing he's done to deception is just neglecting to inform riko and co. of what he intends to do. though that's probably just because they didn't ask. if they said "hey are you gonna dismember reg and turn prushka into a suitcase" he would probably have replied with something along the lines of "why yes, of course".
So what, another 4-5 months until the next chapter?
