Why do you subject yourself to so much trash seasonal anime when you could be watching the classics?
Why do you subject yourself to so much trash seasonal anime when you could be watching the classics?
I've already seen so much stuff from before 2000 and during the aughts that I've began running into the problem of wondering if I'm just going to waste my time watching what is the equivalent of seasonal trash from then just because its older. I think 3000 anime watched is a good point to slow down my intake into just the seasonal stuff i find good or interesting.
I'm getting into reading manga since there's comparatively a huge amount of classics I haven't read yet as i've been an animefag for most of my life.
Because I already watched the classics 12 years ago.
rewatch them.
if they are truly good, then you won't have wasted time on the rewatch
I've rewatched a lot of shit already. My post still stands.
I'm sure people getting into anime now just skip over the 2000s and start with 2010 and after.
classics were seasonal shit of their time, your pic related. nhk aged like dogshit.
They watch 20 or so "classics" and thirty or so shit that interests them from that period and then go straight into seasonalfaggotry
I prefer doing both. Need me a nice trashy entreƩ before the main course of the evening.
BZZZT wrong faggot, I do both
I don't watch anime, only when they force me
Most of them really aren't
Even among the good series there are only maybe 10 I consider good enough to rewatch and I already rewatched them.
I am not a rewatch fag though. Usually once I know what happens I cannot re-experience it. Only when I am extremely attached to the characters which barely ever happens. NHK for example was good, as was Haibane Renmei and tons of other series but I don't feel like rewatching them. It really depends on when you started watching anime. I feel like many that say user should just watch old stuff are people that only started watching anime in 2010 or something.
Quality bait
because I can do both
I've been called a "boomer" multiple times for liking anime from the 00s, never had this happen for any other media like games or music, why are zoomer anime fans so allergic to "old" anime?
I've been watching Mai-Hime lately. It was giving me a huge Code Geass vibe, so I looked it up and it had the same director.
I liked Mai-Hime save for one thing at the end. I miss the time when Kajiura was still capable of making impressive OSTs. That series was very popular back then, remember watching that spin off too, that had an OST just as good that of Mai-Hime.
Are you talking about watching anime?
Or having discussions?
Because it sounds like you only watch Anime if it leads to discussion, instead of just watching it because it's enjoyable.
In which case you only FOMO into seasonal shows which isn't good.
Watch stuff because it's good and you enjoy it. Not because it's what everyone else is discussing.
tv anime is artistically a pretty low-tier medium full of adaptations and merchandising with only (to be generous) 3-5 truly great directors in its history and I've already seen most of their work
thus gambling on the two shows with potential that might come out each year
>Kajiura
Wait, really? Goddamn. .hack has one of my favorite soundtracks ever.
I am a fan of her old stuff. .hack, Madlax, Mai-Hime, Aquarian Age and Pandora Hearts are probably my favorite OSTs of her.
because everyone has that "50 year old boomer who only watches war documentaries and old mecha anime you suspect is into qanon" uncle
I never once even talked to zoomers, unless you mean Any Forums. In that case well yeah they are just retarded. A lot of kids are and were, it's just that you didn't meet many other kids when you went online in 1999. And those that were active fit in instead of annoying others with their trends. Trends are only a thing since normalfags turned internet into real life 2.0 anyway. My Space, Facebook and phones fucked the internet forever.
I love .hack but those series all seem terrible
Good question OP... I am currently watching Heidi of the a Alps for the first time and realised that what you said it right
Can someone dump all the these charts for pre 2000's animu? Plz and ty
Madlax at least is made by the same team and studio. Personally I liked it a lot and the twist was something else. But I never met another user who was into this, so maybe it just doesn't work for others even those that liked Sign.
