You didn't forget about Alita, did you?

Earlier today I was thinking about the current ongoing manga, and how much I hate it. I probably shouldn't hate it, but so much of it just feels so pointless.

I will never forget Alita. She helped me in a very difficult period of my life.

Nope, I loved the film

The original run of Gunnm is still in my top 5 manga of all time
same alitabro

GUNNM and its sequel (Last Order) changed my life, maybe Mars Chronicle isn't that great but still a nice spin-off.

Alita is in that annoying spot where everyone on Any Forums knows about it but nobody wants to talk about it. Of course, it doesn't help that Kishiro has only written 6 or so chapters in the past 2 years

If it's good then it's not for discussing on Any Forums

Is James Cameron's movie good?

Yes

I liked it. Anything with Christoph Waltz is automatically good.

Wait, there is an ongoing manga

it would be vastly improved if the scrapyard actually looked like it was supposed to (cyberpunk hell) rather than how it was portrayed (brazil but 1/10 people have a prosthetic leg)

Inglorious Basterds is Tarantino's worst movie by far.

what studio will make the inevitable anime?

Nobody has the rights to

That OVA was really damn good, I still have to get around to reading the manga

Yeah, it's the third and I think final installment of BAA.
>Kishiro finds out he's going to die of cancer
>tells editors that he's going to end BAA and skips a lot of their suggestions
>BAA ends as maybe the best in its genre, certainly one of the hilights of the 90's
>Kishiro doesn't die, decides to continue with a reboot that retcons the end of BAA
>editors this time have a little more control, goes full karate-tournament-in-space shounen
>finishes BAA: LO and goes back to do the prequel
Haven't read the final instalment but I'm sure it'll be pretty good. I'm mostly surprised it's still around, but older series seem to have a habit of just toughing it out until the bitter end.

The author forgot a regular update scheudle.

Did the Mars Chronicle scans die or is the manga just not updating?

I wonder if the video game lore was always just random ideas he had or was the actual canon before Mars Chronicle did some retcons to it

Kishiro isn't writing chapters. The team that's translating the manga has been around for over 15 years, they're not your average zoomer scanlators. If you want to see a copious amount of videos of Kishiro walking his dogs, he has a YouTube channel

HIS NAME IS JAAMES CAMERON
