I didn't mind Obito being Tobi. What I did mind was how he was the big mastermind behind everything. Also Tobi was far better as a joke character amongst the akatsuki, than a madara larper.
Funny how Rin's death was the single most important event that would affect the next 15-20 years, leading to a new ninja war yet Rin as a character was barely relevant in the story.
There should of been moments earlier in the story when Kakashi called Naruto or Sakura, Obito or Rin respectively but I guess the author didn't think that far ahead.
