Which is better: the manga or the anime?
Highschool of the Dead
Neither wtf
shizuka!
Anime is just as good as the manga
Cute!
The poster girl for hatefucking
Manga.
best girl
this was one of the first anime i actually finished to completion
im suprised i even was able to considering how much i hated stupid ecchi/fanservice back then
i think i was just embarrassed desu
Manga for actual plot, Anime for coom
either way the series is dead because the author died
CHOOSE
Shizuka, who else?
She's my third option, Saeko for second.
shame the guy died cause this was such a fun anime and top notch fan service and girls.
Inazuma draws the best girl, even the minor characters. I remember to like the design for the reporter girl during the event where a bridge was locked.

Is there a season 2? What's the plot even?
My brothers.
I recently decided she's my waifu. There's no Any Forums girl I like more than her.
There isn't. ded

Of the manga/anime?
Zombie apocalypse happens worldwide. We follow the particular adventures of five high schoolers, the school nurse, a loli, and a dog.
Features some pretty glorious big titty fan service, gun porn, sword porn, a surprisingly realistic and sober take on zombies and the trouble they cause, and some right-wing politics.
Pic related on the "realistic" front. HOTD is the only zombie story I've ever seen to point out that when it's hot they'd all just rot.
does the manga have an ending? They ever explain anything?
No. The author abruptly stopped work on it, supposedly because a tsunami hit Japan and he thought a continued depiction of mass death was in bad taste. However, the author had a history of starting projects and not finishing them, and when HOTD started there was speculation on when he was going to drop THIS story, too.
Oh, and then the author died. But this was, like, eight years after he stopped work on the manga, so it's not like him dying tragically cut the story off.
It's quite a ride for what it is, though. Inazuma's art is great, and I actually love it more in black and white than in color. The deep blacks and heavy shadows really add to the horror aesthetic.
