What I like about this manga is they deliver the hype.
I remember the earliest one where they were hyping the commander guy as the strongest [normal] trigger user and in the next arc they showed him fighting.

it's a meme, but for a more serious answer, Osamu is never going to stand up to a black trigger - given the universe they subside in, it's unrealistic for him to be able to do that alone so especially given his combat capabilities

Osamu's already stood up against two black triggers, Hyrein's and Mira's. In both of them, he couldn't fight against them, but was able to complete his objective anyway with the help of other border agents and a small black rice cooker. Next time, Osamu's probably going to have to do the directing of the other agents to distract the black trigger while he accomplishes the true objective
