>pic related is seen as one of the best fights in asura
>nu-kengan fans pretend they hated the focus on removal/Guihun, the Kure clan, Ohma/Raian and their return since chapter 50 of omega just to fit in
Hypocrites, all of you.

Ohma and Raian will never be popular Sandro
How badly does Fei beat up Kuroki?
Yea and goku vs frieza was everyone's favorite shit in Z and see what happened when they tried to milk that shit again? It's a sign of bad writing if you have to continuously go back to old shit that the fans liked more instead of creating anything new or interesting
God I want to fuck Alisa
People hate the direction of the series because they grew to like Koga and the weaker fighters ofthe new generation and the way the series went pushed them aside, and people like Raian vs Ohma because it had the emotional weight of making sure Yamashita's son survived after being revealed to Kazua his son is one of the most powerful people in the country and messed up with the strongest assassins, the choreography and artstyle was nice to look at and did a good job at showing how the impact of the strikes, as opposed to Omega's sterile art and choreography
pretty much this, a series stops having all credibility when it steps into the realm of merchandising over story-telling
Yeah basically this. Super Saiyan isn't special anymore when everyone can do it, same with removal and advance.
>People like this then new thing
>People now hate it since they keep reusing the same thing and put it in shitty situations
Wow. Ohma using Niko style to overcome Raian's pure physical superiority was nice, him using it to negate near everything that gets thrown at him isn't.
>goku turns super saiyan in namek
big moment for the series
>ohma uses advance vs kuroki
arguably the peak of the series
vs
>new super saiyan modes introduced randomly each arc and everyone uses them
yawn
>we learn of the secret society that spams advance and the secret kure family traditions
boring
Peak of the series was objectively the dragon shot misfiring. My evidence is that it still has the highest reply count of any kengan page.
I never much cared for Advance and Removal in Ashura, i cared more for other characters, but that's the norm in battle mangas, side characters are always better.
But i shat on Ohma's return since the beginning, and people here called me a retard when i predicted the series would go downfall from then.
Agito vs Kuroki was the peak of the series
Waka vs Fei was the peak of the threads
>the quality of a manga page is directly proportional to how many (You)s it gets
i hate nu/a/ so much
>kengan swan diving into schizo writing
>baki teetering on the edge of something horrific if jack loses
>ousama ending next week
The fuck am I supposed to do now
I didn't like it. It was unga bunga super saiyan spam that relied on giving the MC an undeserved victory due to his opponents utter retardation.
As opposed to super sayians. I'm fine with advance/removal shit because there people who are still better then that like wakatsuki, agito, julius etc.
The only problem is if everyone needed to use it.
>literally fighting super sayians and genetically breed race of superhuman
>bearded man wins the whole thing.
Is kuroki actually Sandro's favorite?
No, but subverting the audience's expectations is
Why do you think Omega quickly veered into YOU'VE GOT IT ALL WRONG territory
Read more manga, I'm pretty sure there is more than just ongoing shit
I actually went back and read this fight recently. It's actually not that bad.
>stakes are high since the life of Kazzy's son is on the line
>Ohma is the underdog in this fight
>Raian's asshole personality works here because he's the heel
>great message in Ohma realizing that martial arts are used to overcome opponents stronger than you are
>Ohma's victory didn't feel unjust at all, he mastered his art while Raian felt he was guaranteed victory because of his superior genes
It's the little details that carry this fight, and this fight really cemented my opinion on Omega's problems.
Ohma's too strong now. I'm not saying you have to be the underdog in every fight to be likable, but Ohma doesn't really have much else to him. Half of appeal comes from the fact he was dying in Ashura. Shit like pic related is cringe.
Raian is fucking unlikable as a protagonist. He's too goddamn edgy and most of his lines are horrible. Like his last words to Erioh were "fuck you". Raian wank was absurd either, you didn't have shit like Raian fighting a Guihun user in base form. But at the same time, Raian was special, now Omega gives out 100% Removal to even mooks.
There were stakes besides losing the fight like trying to save Kenzo. Motivations were pretty weak in the Purgatory tournament besides some shitty politics.
