So after about four months, the second chapter finally dropped so I'm going to dump it.
This is the story of Hinako, an ojou-sama who wound up reincarnated in a fantasy world where she met and formed a bond of sisterhood with Alice, a giant. Both Hinako and Alice are searching for those they've lost. Alice is searching for her brother while Hinako is searching for Junko Hidaka, her "onee-sama" from the real world. The pair are adventurers and in taking on a job to eliminate an ice dragon, wound up running afoul of a knight of this world's church who recognized Hinako as an otherworlder.
Due to perceived disrespect, stealing of his job and a general hatred of otherworlders -- who he feels are given preferential treatment and bestowed great powers by their world's goddess while the world's real inhabitants are left to rot -- hatches a plan. Finding a random giant, he gets him to pretend to be Alice's brother while Hinako is knocked out. While Alice is distracted, he intends to sell Hinako off into slavery. But the plan went awry with Alice killing the giant and the knight's companions and Hinako killing the knight (with an assist from Alice).
In truth, Hinako wasn't merely involved in an accident. Rather, Junko manipulated her into a romantic relationship and then decided to cut it off as she'd simply been using Hinako for a bit of fun, mocking her despair over feeling like she betrayed God. For a girl with both an extreme black and white morality and a seemingly deeply held religious belief, this was too much and she pushed both Junko and herself in front of an oncoming train, killing both of them.
And somewhere out in this new world, Junko is herself a wandering Hero as she feels the presence of something much more frightening than the Demon King.
