I’ve been dumping a chapter of Otherside Picnic aka lesbian S.T.A.L.K.E.R. every day and we've finally caught up! After this chapter I'll be going for hiatus for a few weeks while we wait for chapter 47 to come out. Then after that I'll swap from dumping the manga to dumping the novels and go on to the later content the manga hasn't adapted yet
Please be mindful of spoilers and use black bars for talking about anything past the manga. Part of the point of a storytime thread is to give people a chance to read something for the first time and it can be alienating to come in and see people talking freely about stuff that’s still far in the future
> Elevator Pitch Sometimes you’re a misanthropic nerd with an encyclopedic knowledge of ghost stories and the girl you like is a beautiful gunslinger obsessed with finding a missing woman you’re 90% sure was pure evil and the two of you hunt creepypasta monsters as a hobby
> How Long Is It? There are seven novels so far. J-Novel Club has licensed and translated the first six and is working on the seventh which will be released in English 06/07/22. The manga is currently 46 chapters long and is near the end of the second novel. There’s also an anime but it was horrible and we don’t talk about it
> Where Can I Get It? If you'd like to go read the story on your own you can find the scans on mangadex. The officially translated novels and first volume of the manga are on nyaa if you want to pirate them or if you want to support the author you can buy them from a variety of vendors. J-Novel Club (the translator) has a page listing the options here j-novel.club/series/otherside-picnic. There are also physical copies available if you prefer
Last chapter, eh? I don't think I'll stay for the novel dumps, at least. Thank you for everything, OP!

And that's the end! We are now officially caught up. Like I said in the OP I'll be going on hiatus until chapter 47 comes out and (presumably) finishes this arc. After that I'll be dumping the novels for anyone who's interested. Thanks so much for following along - running these threads has been a lot of fun.
