Attack on Titan (SNK): Storytime Volume 10

The end of the Shingeki anime looms near, and with it a controversial end, and with things like that it's always better to have a reread, since authors love to callback to obscure things from 10 years ago when writing final arcs
Hopefully everyone will have to have fun and read SNK with me for what it is.
Maybe your opinion on the series could change, becoming more positive or negative, but hopefully, at least, a little more informed.

why did the MPs have to escort the survey corps when they were trying to bait Annie, if the MPs didn't even know about the mission in the first place?

You answered yourself, they were with then because they didn't know they were going to do and if they would have to "pull the plug" on then so to speak, of course it went out of their control but that's the MP for you
