Why won't anyone sub the japanese version? It has a completely different atmosphere that just about all dubs completely obliterate pretty much as soon as they fuck over the OST
Why won't anyone sub the japanese version...

which version is better? The 1977 version by the polish?
>en.wikipedia.org
or the 1990 tales from moominvalley japanese anime?
Because there's over a hundred episodes
Someone did sub the first 26 though
I don't know anything about the polish version, so I can't say, but I was referring to the 90s version. I should've been specific.
Thanks for the info, I'll go ask for them at /wsr/ now
Isn't the 90s version fully translated? Do you mean 1969 moomin and shin moomin?
It's dubbed in a shitload of languages but I haven't found it subtitled, not completely at least. Also I do mean 90s moomin, not 1969 moomin or shin moomin. If 90s moomin has been fully subtitled, then I didn't know.
Suomalaisena tämä oli karmiva sunnuntain pakkopulla
But there are subtitles.
Just rip the closed captioning data from the english dub of the moomins and place it on the japanese. It's not that different they are all pretty chill except the horrors of winter.
You say that but I'm pretty sure the episodes past 75 or so are lost media.
Every source of Tanoshii seems to be missing the last quarter
What?
nyaa.si
Damn, even the official YouTube channel didn't upload past episode 77
What the heck is up with the last 27?
78 is a movie, last 26 is probably rights issues or masters issues since they lost the original film when the production company went under and didnt release it past 78 in 2012 as part of the upconverted bd box either
I wanted to, but apparently Sweden cucked out and made even softsubbing illegal in recent years, and Moomin is relevant enough to national interests for the law being enforced to be a possibility.
Bouken Nikki is dogshit anyways.
>made even softsubbing illegal
Swedes can't even release just a subtitle file?
What the fuck?
why did moomins suddenly get some audiance online outside of finland i only though japan aswell as some neighbouring and other european countries cared about it
liking retro is now mainstream
Nothing would happen unless you host a big site like undertexter and just upload to nyaa instead.
It's illegal in most countries.
I pretty sure it was a morning anime in japan at some point. There's even a Moominland in japan. The first 24 episodes is super comfy, i mean just listen to this

In Germany, Moomins were widely known in the 80's and 90's at least. I had a book as a boy and loved it for the atmosphere.
