Berserk

>Guts uses behelit because he can't stand to watch a repeat of the eclipse happen
>he sacrifices his humanity to become the thing he always hated and closes the power gap between himself and the god hand
>Guts kills every god hand member and apostle in a rampage
>the last apostle Guts kills is himself

Miura lost

thanks for reminding me why berserk fans should never write the ending for berserk. miura was the only person based enough to do it well and he's gone.

What's wrong with this ending then?

Guts is already a sacrifice, he can't double up on himself.

He was supposed to be a sacrifice and die a long time ago with the rest of the band of the hawk. He shouldn't be able to do half the shit he's been doing.

Let’s be honest user, even miura’s ending was bound to be disappointing considering it seemed to be heading into the direction of “forget about revenge and move on”

Berserk peaked at lost children

>forget about revenge and move on
I hate this theme I keep seeing in anime.

I believe in the author, he had the highest chance of making a good ending since he knows his own story. You just like to think negatively

>he had the highest chance of making a good ending since he knows his own story
I bet you think attack on titans ending was based because the author wrote it.

Miura fought till the end against the long defeat and died a hero. We may never know whats the end of Guts' journey, but we can feel in the heart that he won somewhat.

>becoming an apostle and losing his ability to defy fate that is the only thing that he has going for him

Berserk peaked at the eclipse. The peak was so high that lost children and conviction were still really good.

The eclipse was the equivalent of Goku becoming super saiyan in DBZ.

>Godhand that can kill you anywhere at anytime with just a thought lets you live like a pet
>defy fate

The godhand aren't powerful enough that they can do things with "just a thought". They are powerful, but it is also because they have fate on their side, like how Griffith defied the indian emperror, and how it lead to Fantasia.
But yes, as far as the manga went, Guts was pretty fucked.

For all intents and purposes, they could though. The only reason why Causality couldn't just have Guts killed is because his nature as a struggler means he can briefly escape its hold over him. And this wasn't enough to make him relevant even against a shoddily made avatar of just one God Hand member, who wasn't even trying to kill him.

The Godhand have space bending and mindfucking abilities. Griffith could easily use his telekinetic abilities to crush Guts and his friends into meatballs if he wanted to.

Nice headcanon.

Apostoles can't hurt or oppose griffith they're tied to causality and griffith is leading the fish in the river. All is going according to gods plan.

For the love of God... why do people think Guts becoming an Apostle would EVER be a good idea??

Why would the Godhand give him enough power to kill them?

Why would Guts give up on his humanity and struggle against fate when those are his most defining traits?

How would an Apostle be able to fight the Godhand when their minds are hard-wired so that they can't defy them, unless the Godhand WANTS the Apostle to defy them, like Ganishka?

Why would Guts EVER sacrifice his friends and become just like Griffith after all this growth and development?

It would ruin the series on every level possible

The Godhand can't reach and use the full extent of their powers everywhere. Griffith had to give himself a vessel to come to the physical world. Slan and Conrad have only been able to manifest as monstrous constructs unable to use their spacetime fuckery powers. They can't just kill Guts with a thought unless he comes to their realm. They also can't just line up fate specifically to kill Guts since he is implied to have free will and messing with him would have unpredictable consequences

>They also can't just line up fate specifically to kill Guts since he is implied to have free will and messing with him would have unpredictable consequences

Guts having divine protection is even worse.

>Fate to Godhand: NOO, YOU CAN'T KILL GUTS BECAUSE... YOU JUST CAN'T!
