I honestly don't know. It's really baffling to me, how in anime and manga massive traitors seem to get forgiven at the drop of a hat. It's particularly strange because that sort of forgiveness is what you'd think would be a Christian trait, but Japan isn't very Christian at all. So where does it come from?
