I'm not one of those people who needs the game to basically storyboard the adaptation.
So I'll be ok with the creator of the show to take certain liberties to properly transition to an anime if it's well done and executed.

I never understood people who said this. You don't "replay" the game over and over again. Each time you "finished" a game and start a new one, the story just continues. It's not an actual ending. The only exception is the first two which is just different perspective of 2B and 9S. Other than that, it's just the continuation of the story (as they referenced things that happened in the previous playthrough, like meeting A2 in the forest castle). Am I missing something?
