Did you enjoy the live action versions of death note?
the absolute state of Any Forums
The old one was fine, didn't watch the netflix one yet and I probably won't.
i like what they did with L and Light, they're different characters and the story takes place in America
ninibros...
What did you like exactly?
L is much more abrasive, and you could say arrogant, but a more cunning portrayal of Misa pushes L's back against a wall and he's forced to physically chase after Light who is holding the evidence to solve the case
I didn't enjoy the anime version of death note
Maybe I have a terminal case of shit taste, but I did. The main girl was hot.
>Netflix Death Note was 5 years ago
What the fuck.
The movie changed the characters too radically. I feel like the English Musical was a better adaptation of the story and characters. Since Japan is more "guilty until proven innocent," than America, this version of light had a song where he emphasizes how a broken justice system hurts the victims. He's still ultimately the same selfish character, but they give him a more emotional feel to fit with America's sensibilities.
Margaret Qualley is insanely hot. Watch 'Donnybrook' if you like ryona and 'Once Upon a Time⦠in Hollywood' if you like hairy armpits.
i would argue he's NOT the same selfish character, he is immediately more empathetic and half way into the movie he wants to just call it quits, i reckon the original Kira personality is split between Light and Mia in this movie, and i think that leads to a very interesting alternate story
and that ending
chef's kiss .
and watch the leftovers for depressionkino
Not really, no. Other than that Final Destination death in the beginning, Light's scream, and L running really strangely, it was a really boring movie. Can't believe it's by the same guy who did The Guest and You're Next.
No comment and no interest on the Japanese live action adaptations.
>did you enjoy the live action versions of death note?
not gonna lie it was pretty funny to watch.
it sucks they dumbed down both Light and L though.
Dafoe Ryuk was unironically kino
the cinematography on this part of the chase sequence is so bad it's great, Light is being full-on chased by slenderman
I only remember Light and his dad mumbling like crazy in at least one of these breakfast scenes. Was horrible.
I actually did enjoy the movie in a 'so bad it's good' kind of way. The decapitation scene at the beginning was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
I liked the Japanese one. L screwing Light over felt right, somehow, and at least Light managed to exit with some dignity here.
fuck off to
Yes.
Especially with Etika's commentary
i liked willem dafoe
